The renovation responds to an increasingly common need: adapting the family home to accommodate multiple generations while maintaining each household’s independence. The first floor was completely transformed into a self-contained apartment for the children, while the parents continue to occupy the ground floor. To ensure the functional independence of both dwellings, a new external access was created from the rear of the property and the entire upper-floor layout was reorganized.

The intervention includes a new open-plan living area with an integrated kitchen, custom-made storage solutions, renovated bathrooms, and a spacious glazed terrace that extends the interior spaces and takes advantage of the privileged views over the garden.

The result is a flexible and contemporary home, designed to evolve alongside the changing needs of the family, demonstrating how a carefully planned renovation can unlock the full potential of an existing property without increasing its built area.
